Ho'oponopono For Everyday Life by Erika Cook

Expert Author Erika Cook
Ho'oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian problem solving process that is based on the teachings of Mornah Simeonah. By using this simple process you will release past memories that are stuck in your subconscious mind that can often show up as problems in your everyday life. Loosely translated the word Ho'oponopono means "to set things right" or in simple terms, to fix stuff. This process is one of the most powerful ways to fix literally everything!
Ho'oponopono is not a religion nor is it affiliated with one. There are no teachers, gurus, or priests. God, the creator, is the only teacher that there is. Anyone can practice Ho'oponopono no matter what your religious background may be; essentially you are having a dialogue directly with the divine or the creator. Ho'oponopono is a process of looking deep within yourself; this is done by repeating 4 simple mantras. "I love you", "I am sorry", "please forgive me" (for whatever memories that are replaying in my subconscious mind that are causing me to perceive this situation in a certain way), "thank you".
By saying these 4 mantras and directing them toward a situation that may be causing you havoc, you are saying to the universe that you are willing to let go control of the situation and allowing the creator to solve your problem for you. Once you begin to incorporate Ho'oponopono into your everyday life you will start feeling more relaxed and all around more peaceful. This is so because it removes the blockages that have interfered with you getting inspiration directly from the divine. When used, this tool will undoubtedly improve your overall quality of life. However, before you start to practice the art of Ho'oponopono you must first accept the fundamental concepts that are behind this process. First you need to realize that your entire existence comes from within, not from outside of yourself. To quote John Assaraf he says; "There is no 'out there' and 'in here', and that is the very truth of our universal existence". Second, that we are one with all things; we are simply extensions of source energy, which is the very stuff that the universe is made of. Lastly, you need to realize that we are all the creators of our own existence, we create our reality, it does not 'happen' to us. By doing the process of Ho'oponopono you are accepting responsibility for your own destiny. You are no longer a victim of your circumstances, but you are the master of them.
Along with the saying of the mantras, there is a very powerful prayer that Ho'oponopono practitioners say. This prayer is called Mornah's prayer; you simply recite it and fill in the blanks with whatever situation you may be facing.
Dear Spirit/ Consciousness, please locate the origin of my feelings/ thoughts of ___ (fill in the blank with whatever issue you are addressing), take each and every level, layer, area, and aspect of my being to this origin; analyze it and resolve it perfectly with God's truth. Come through all generations of time and eternity, healing every incident and its appendages based on the origin. Please do it according to God's will until I am at the present, filled with light and truth. I ask for God's peace, love, and forgiveness of myself for my incorrect perceptions; forgiveness of every person, place, circumstance, and event which contributed to these feelings/ thoughts. With total forgiveness and unconditional love, I allow every physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual problem and inappropriate behavior, based on the negative origin, recorded in my DNA, to transform. I choose being _____ (fill in the blank with whatever you are addressing). I feel _____ (fill in the blank). I am ____ (fill in the blank). It is done, it is healed, and it is accomplished now. Thank you Spirit for coming to my aid and for helping me to attain the full measure of my creation. Thank you. I love you. Praise God for whom all blessings flow.
You can also work with your breathe along side of the mantras and the prayer. This breathing technique is what the Hawaiians call the 'Ha' breathe. This is how it is done:
-Breathe in for 7 seconds
-Hold for 7 seconds
-Breathe out for 7 seconds
-Hold for 7 seconds
-Then repeat

By doing the 'Ha' breathe series, the 4 mantras, and Mornah's prayer you will have a much stronger connection to the divine, surely rising above all of the past memories that once haunted you. Your past will become neutral and all of the self-defeating, recurring patterns in your life will cease. It is then that you can begin to adopt new and healthy patterns for yourself and no longer live in the past, but live in present, and soak up each and every beautiful moment.
